COLLECTIONS

The main influence of this project were waves and the different forms they take, especially when they are atypical to the usual rolling wave. I took the inspiration of the harsh lines from a Dave Stanford photo called 'Bane of the Great Lakes', as well as the dark color of the water and the contrast of the off-white spindrift. The shape of the waves also inspired the fold panel of my skirt and I wanted the contrast to be a part of the panel to accentuate it.
